A Glance at the Holy Land Extension

Israel Sunday to Thursday program
Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Masada, Bethlehem*
5 days/ 4 nights

Day 01: (Sunday) After breakfast, check out and staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your flight to Tel Aviv. Arriving staff will meet you as you exit customs then enjoy a tour of this beach resort city before checking into your hotel, the Renaissance (or similar). Spend the evening with a stroll along the seaside promenade where you will find excellent restaurants and entertainment. Overnight Tel-Aviv (Breakfast at the hotel in Cairo)

Day 02: (Monday) Breakfast, check out, then drive from Tel Aviv via Ashdod & Ashkelon to Beersheba. After a short visit to the Negev capital continue to Masada. Ascend by cable car to the spectacular mountain top fortress. The Roman camps and siege ramps can still be seen at the base. Enjoy time at the Dead Sea, where you will have time to take a swim if you desire. Travel to Jerusalem and enjoy the comfort of the Olive Tree hotel (or similar). Overnight Jerusalem (B)

Day 03: (Tuesday) After breakfast we will head to Mt. Scopus to enjoy the panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of the Agony. Drive to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey. Continue on to the New City and visit the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls and the new Supreme Court building. Visit the newly renovated Holocaust Museum, Yad Vashem (the memorial site to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust). Visit the Hadassah medical center and Marc Chagall’s stained glass windows. End the day in the picturesque Ein Karem, birth place of John the Baptist. Overnight Jerusalem (B)

Day 04: (Wednesday) After breakfast we will walk the Old City visiting the renewed Jewish Quarter; the
Western Wall (“Wailing Wall”), the Temple area, the colorful bazaars and the Via Dolorosa plus the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Then proceed to Bethlehem* for a visit to Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight Jerusalem (B)

Day 05: (Thursday) Staff transfers you to the airport for your international departure.

Transfer in Cairo for international departure, transfers in Israel via a/c vehicle, hotels (based on double occupancy), meals as outlined by B (breakfast, L (Lunch), D (Dinner), tours led by a licensed guide, entry fees, service charges and taxes.

NOT included are:
Air, Items of a personal nature such as entry taxes, visas, exit taxes, drinks with meals, tips, telephone, laundry, anything not specifically mentioned as included.
