Both Leary and I had a wonderful time because most of the trip ran very smoothly, and everyone in the group got along very well. The hotels were absolutely beautiful and our rooms very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Pioneer II. It was a great way to travel. Not having to unpack and pack every night was a blessing. Also, "Sunshine" was so informative as our guide that we always hung on her every word so as not to miss any of what she had to say.

We had a great trip with you. It was wonderful to
see so much of the country and the important monuments
in a very efficient and organized manner. Mohammed,
our Egyptologist guide was extremely knowledgeable
and passionate about his country's long history. The
accommodations and transportation were first rate.

Wow! What a wonderful experience Egypt was! I still
can't believe we were just there! The antiquities
were bigger and more impressive than I imagined. Especially
Luxor area and Abu Simbel. For history buffs, these
areas really live up to or exceed expectations - especially
mine. And the Nile was just as I imagined it to be.
Cairo, too (crazy, crowded, smoggy). I was disappointed
with Alexandria and would not encourage clients to
make the trek there unless they could stay for a few
days and have nicer weather. Overall, it was a truly
amazing trip!

knowledgeable, patient, endearing. Could not ask for
a better guide. I truly appreciated his and Afifi's
flexibility to accommodate specific requests (some
couples trip to Old Cairo, the hot air balloon ride
in Luxor, the Sound & Light Show at Karnak). These
extras made for a remarkable visit.
I will definitely use Travel
Egypt to book future group or FIT's to Egypt and Jordan.
Having been there myself to experience Egypt makes

Loved the Marriott-excellent food, service, and rooms!
Would highly recommend the Marriott. The Basma was
a great hotel. Fabulous view! Lunch at Basma Island
was superb. Loved the camel ride and felucca. A great
destination. Abu Simbel was an amazing site.

Visa purchase and luggage upon arrival was so smooth
– thanks to Sasa. He also helped us get our
new converter – it saved our photos of this
wonderful trip. The food on the cruise was delicious
and I wish we could take Mahmoud, our cabin steward,
home with us!Our room at the Basma was fabulous! The
view from our balcony was spectacular.Abu Simbel was
FABULOUS. This should not be missed. The first time
I had 4 bus rides and 2 flights before 9am.This trip
has been wonderful! Our every want and need has been
taken care of by Travel Egypt. GiGi was the best guide
anyone could ever have. She made our trip enjoyable
as well as educational.

Really liked the inspection tour of the hotel amenities
at the Marriott.Loved our room with large patio and
view at the Basma. Gigi made the whole tour with her
tremendous knowledge and charisma.

Tour leader, Sasa, and tour guide, GiGi, were both
beyond excellent. Really appreciate Sasa's assistance
before I even asked for it. The room on the boat is
nice but they could use nicer bed sheets and comforters.The
workers on the boat need to learn more English. A
camel ride is a great experience in Egypt.

The tour of the former palace was superb. At the airport,
our baggage was collected for us and transferred through
customs. Very efficient and we were welcomed with
a bouquet of roses.Would like to have an extra day
in Luxor. Thank you for accommodating the Winter Palace
visit.It was exceptional service to be handed flight
boarding passes on the bus and another huge service
was baggage handling throughout the trip! Travel Egypt
and Melody in particular (who loans/provides duct
tape, mints, ibuprofen and graciousness throughout)
is very professional, soothing and gracious. Gihan
was superb. She endured countless questions with grace
and intelligence and met every need including having
my luggage repaired and finding the particular lipstick
I desired. She engage me personally and another advantage…
interacting with a female – hard to have that
opportunity in a Muslim environment.

details of the trip coordination are important, of
course, and Travel Egypt (South Sinai Travel) certainly
excelled in this area. A smiling representative
greeted us as each airport, efficiently handled our
luggage, made sure our hotel check-ins were problem

questions. While in the country there was never
a time or instance that I felt any threat or concern.

Hilton had the best room amenities. The ship
was very nice as well. The Sheraton Luxor had
the best view of the Nile. The Basma Hotel had
a beautiful view and very nice accommodations.
Our guide was excellent. We were very excited
that we were able to see Abu Simbel, it was the highlight
of our trip. Unfortunately, we didn't get to
spend as much time at Giza as we would have liked.
Other than that we thought the trip was excellent
and have recommended it to others already. We
are planning to go again in the future.

Thank you for the wonderful
trip. Yes, I arrived home (after spending time w/
family in NY) on 5/31. I'll begin writing my experiences
for the newspaper I work for. Meanwhile, I've
gotten many fine pictures and have been in touch w/
my sister-in-law Arlene Carcano who was also on the
trip.
It was a lifetime
dream experience. Egyptians are such a warm and friendly
people who unfortunately are getting a bad rap due
to problems in the area. My job as a reporter is to
get behind the headlines and find out what the REAL
people are like. I believe I did that. Egyptians
like Americans and miss them as tourists.
Fouad was
as fine a guide as could be wished. And in Jordan,
Samir took over as guide and friend, letting us glimpse
his own family and life. It's these personal touches
that make a warm human connection. What
a difficult job these wonderful guides have! Surely,
they were "tested" and met the challenge.

you. My husband and I had a wonderful time.
Some mornings were just a bit too early for our taste
though and I would hope that later scheduling would
be available to future customers. Also, more
time at the Cairo Museum. I could have spent
to whole day there.
Now
that I have done the camel ride, and will never do
it again, I would not recommend it to anyone with
a bad back. You might want to mention that to
customers as well.
We
were very impressed with all of the properties we
saw. Our room at the Sheraton in Luxor was not
up to par with our expectations, however, the view
from the room more than made up for the sparseness
of the room.
We
were very pleased with the Sonesta Moon Goddess and
those accommodations.
We
can't say enough about our guide, Faoud. (Sorry
about the spelling)
He
was excellent and we were so lucky to have had him.
He certainly has the right temperament for dealing
with so many different personalities. His knowledge of
the sites visited was also very impressive.
We
were also impressed by the security provided us on
the bus and boat and never felt any concern or fear
during the whole trip. It was interesting, that
when we returned safety was usually one of the first
questions asked by friends and associates. Several
have now changed their minds about visiting Egypt.

I had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and
witness all the work and preparation that goes into
pulling off your tours in such seamless fashion. The
efforts your team went through to make sure every
detail was covered and that every guest accommodated
at a personalized level was inspiring. Most guests
will never see this side of your business but they'll
all certainly profit from it. From setting up alternative
side trips, to arranging addition time at venues,
to tracking a forgotten bag a guest left behind, these
guys worked logistical wonders. I swear, a guide once
appeared out of a mirage with refreshments, during
an impromptu camel trek across the desert. During
my visit, I never heard a request go unconsidered
and trust me, I was listening very carefully.

I can tell you that
it was quite obvious to me how professional and thorough
of an organization you are a part of. I was in good
hands from the moment I stepped off of the plane until
Melody and I were dropped at the airport for our return
to the U.S. Hany was superb as a guide - I was truly
astounded by the amount of knowledge he has. And Khaled
in Sharm was fantastic as well. Both were great at
relating to many different types of people, and at
relaying their information in a fun and informative
way, without overwhelming us.
Both guides were extraordinarily
professional - if there were any hitches or glitches
(aside from the flat tire, which was well beyond their
control) they were handled behind the scenes and we
never knew of them. For us at Thomson, it is important
to know that the guides on our trips are able to handle
things in a professional manner, and without the knowledge
of the client when necessary. I would recommend Travel
Egypt and SST in a second to anyone thinking of going
on a trip to Egypt.
